BFD Education Private Practice Workshops provide practical, evidence‑based MBS education designed to support clinicians at every stage of their career. Our workshops build confidence, improve billing accuracy, reduce compliance risk, and ensure practices meet their professional and legal obligations — while allowing clinicians to focus on patient care.
Whether you are an intern, early‑career clinician, nurse practitioner, allied health professional, or a seasoned specialist, accurate MBS billing is not optional — it is a duty embedded in safe, ethical, and sustainable clinical practice.

Our Presenters
Caroline Anderson (MBChB, FRACGP, PG Cert Medical Education) is a GP in Melbourne whose clinical practices focuses on Womens health from puberty to post menopause. She is an international graduate from Scotland and completed her general practice training in Glasgow before emigrating to Australia in 2015. Caroline has been working in General Practice for over 10 years and is passionate about education and supervises registrars and medical students.
Outside of work she loves spending time with her husband and daughter, bike riding and being outdoors in greenspaces. After attending a number of Business for Doctors MBS workshops she has implemented the teaching and is confident is passing on this knowledge to her fellow GPs, practice owners and managers.
Following attendance at numerous BFD education events she has fully integrated MBS compliance and combination billings into her practice. Caroline utilises MBS CDM item numbers to coordinate care for her patients and supports regular bulk billed appointments in a private setting, making healthcare more affordable for those with chronic disease.
Inspired by BFD, she advocates for the autonomy of independent contractors, allowing her to set her own fees, hours, and appointment schedules. More information is available on her website drcarolineanderson.com.au
Dr Louise Diaz (FRACGP, DCH, MD, MN, BSc) is a Western Australia–trained General Practitioner. She completed her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Western Australia in 2017 and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Child Health.
Dr Diaz has a special interest in skin conditions and has completed additional training with the Skin Cancer College Australasia. Prior to her career in medicine, she trained in nursing and worked in biomedical research.
She enjoys the diversity and practical nature of primary care, and values supporting patients through different stages of life. Outside of work, Dr Diaz is a busy mother of two young children. She enjoys music, exploring different cuisines, travelling, spending time with family, and listening to a good podcast.
Dr Diaz does not provide prescriptions for contraception or referrals for pregnancy termination.

Dr. Kathryn Eikenhorst is a NSW based General Practitioner who graduated from the University of Wollongong in 2011, completing her MBBS as a post-graduate student with an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Natural and Complementary Medicine. In 2018 she obtained a fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practice. Kathryn is a committed rural clinician, having worked in rural NSW for fourteen years and more recently in remote locations practicing skin cancer medicine. She is now undertaking training subspecialty training in skin cancer medicine and has a passion for preventative medicine and Nutrigenetics. Kathryn strives to provide high quality, preventive, holistic and integrative healthcare to her patients.
Kathryn is passionate about improving the sustainability of General Practice in Australia and helping colleges prevent professional burnout by educating them regarding working smarter and not harder. She is a role model for those who want to achieve a work life balance as a medical professional. Kathryn is committed to helping colleagues understand and apply Medicare compliance.
Dr Casey Going is a Queensland General Practitioner and graduate of the University of Queensland. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners after completing his training in 2022.
Casey has a special interest in internal medicine, Cardiology and emergency medicine and works at the Condamine Medical Centre and St Andrews Hospital in the Darling Downs. He is also completing his Masters of Internal medicine through the University of Sydney and has completed his Master of Business Administration through the Australian Institute of Business. Casey is a toastmaster and enjoys public speaking which complements his educational lectures and presentations. Casey has a keen interest in the business side of General Practice and how to improve it for both GPs and patients.
In 2023 Casey commenced MBS education with Business for Doctors and has created online workshops specifically for GP Registrars to assist them with billings and MBS compliance.
Dr Arnav Gupta (BSc, MD) is a Sydney-based GP with extensive hospital experience and a passion forempowering patients to better understand and manage their health. He has a special interest in chronic disease management, sports medicine and teaching medical students. Outside of his professional life, Arnav enjoys spending quality time with his family and exploring new destinations through his love of travel.
Dr Tara Hamilton is a Practice Owner and General Practitioner based in Kalbarri, Western Australia. She graduated from University of Notre Dame in 2015 and is now busy running two practices and caring for the Kalbarri and Northampton communities in Western Australia. Dr Tara is passionate about holistic medicine and balancing the finances of her business. Business for Doctors has been monumental in seeing her thrive in her dynamic role and she wishes to inspire her colleagues to become more focussed practitioners in this field of medicine. Outside of medicine, Dr Tara loves spending time with her family at the beach in Kalbarri, going on rock lobster ocean adventures, and planning her annual Hamilton family cruise overseas.
Young is a Certified Practising Accountant with 15 years of experience providing medical professionals with accounting, superannuation, and tax services. Young understands essential issues and challenges medical professionals go through in their journey, from starting to growing and keeping going.
She has developed a strong focus and expertise in utilising practice data analytics and MBS (Medicare Benefits Schedule). She believes this enables health professionals to provide high-quality, preventive health care without sacrificing work-life balance.
Young invests her time in improving financial literacy for medical professionals so they can focus on practising medicine while she takes care of the business of medicine with their input.
Dr Ian Kamerman is a dual Fellow of ACRRM and RACGP as a rural General Practitioner and business owner for over 20 years. Ian has a special interest in addiction medicine, is a DAME and holds appointments at two universities. He is currently the Chair of GP Synergy and Chair of the AMA Council of Rural Doctors. Ian has provided many years of supervised training and support to international graduates in general practice training as well as being a past PESCI examiner, Chair of the Professional Development Committee of ACRRM and past president of RDAA. He promotes General Practice as an excellent career choice and endeavours to assist young Doctors have successful, financially viable practices.
With over 11 years of experience owning and running a successful clinic, Dr Sarah Lewis understands how remuneration, support, and clinic culture all contribute to a sustainable and fulfilling career in medicine. In this session, she shares practical information to help you choose a clinic that allows you to earn well, love your work and thrive, and not just survive.
Dr Mary Lumsden qualified from the University of Nottingham (UK) in 2004, completing speciality training in General Practice in 2011. She emigrated to the Island of Tasmania in 2014 where she has made her home with 2 black Labradors Dory and Pearl. She has a specialist interest in Women's health including insertion of IUDs and holds specialty diplomas in women's health and family planning. After initially working as a contractor and locum GP she opened her first GP clinic in early 2019, Brighton Regional Doctors. She is passionate about GP ownership in Primary Care. Outside of Medicine, she enjoys scuba diving and niche English sports cars.
Clifford Morrison completed his MBBS/BMSci from the University of Melbourne in 2006. After working in Emergency Medicine in rural and regional areas, he discovered his passion for General Practice. He has been a GP for over 10 years and is a Fellow of the RACGP.
Clifford is a practice owner/partner and teacher/supervisor of Registrars in two clinics located in the southeast of Melbourne. He joined the BFD team in 2024 after attending several BFD education sessions and hosting a two-day session at his clinics.
Dr. Morrison is passionate about MBS education and has seen its benefits on an individual and practice level. He believes that MBS education helps GPs practice better medicine in a financially viable and MBS-compliant manner.
Dr Brooke Quigley is a well-known and highly-regarded specialist General Practitioner with over 19 years of experience in the Illawarra, on the stunning NSW South Coast. She specialises in Women’s and Children’s Health, and Transgender Medicine.
Brooke graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2006. In 2012, she was awarded the Tony Buhagiar Memorial Medal for the highest marks in New South Wales for the National Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) Fellowship exams. She became a Fellow of the RACGP in 2014. Brooke works as a Medical Educator for GP Registrars with the RACGP, and is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer with the University of Wollongong (UOW) Graduate School of Medicine and is involved in teaching medical students from UOW. She is an examiner for the RACGP, in both written and clinical exams. She has obtained additional, internationally-recognised, qualifications in Medical Education.

Dr Jeremy So B.Sc (Pharm), MBBS, FRACGP, is a highly experienced GP based in North Brisbane with a special interest in chronic pain management, mental health, and bariatric medicine. He is a Senior Lecturer and a Supervisor for overseas-trained doctors, as well as an educator for medical students.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr So is an active member of the Business for Doctors (BFD) team.
Outside of his professional life, Dr So enjoys photography, travelling, and riding motorbikes.
Dr Zoe Sumra is a GP who trained in the United Kingdom and relocated to Australia with her husband in 2017. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS) from Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry. She is an accredited Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).
I'm a GP with a specialist interest in Diabetes and Business Development, including improving GP systems and workflows, and trying to maximise what I am able to offer my patients.
I've been investing in stocks and shares for the last 14 years, helping to run my SMSF with my Financial Advisor and our Stockbroker, and I've been developing my Amazon business globally for the last 5-6 years.
I have had numerous successes and failures in everything I do. My aim is to try to show you what I've done, how I did it and how your transferrable skills can help you to achieve your own passive income.
